The female genitals are made up of the reproductive organs. They include: Vagina, Cervix, Fallopian and Ovaries. There are many diseases and conditions that can affect the female genital tract. Some can do major damage and cause infertility.

Genital Warts, also known as condylomata acuminata or venereal warts, are one of the most common types of sexually transmitted diseases. The virus that causes them, which is the human papillomavirus (HPV), has been associated with cervical cancer.

As the name, Genital Warts affect the moist tissues of the genital area. The Symptoms of Genital Warts may look like small, flesh-colored bumps or have a cauliflower-like appearance. Genital warts may be small as 1 millimeter in diameter or may multiply into large clusters.

How is Genital Warts and Pregnancy related? In some cases genital warts has been found to cause some problems while the delivery procedure and to the newborn baby. The body of a woman has many changes during pregnancy, immunity goes down, there is a change in hormones, blood supply increases etc. The hormone change is one key change that happens in every woman’s body during pregnancy, as a result, genital warts can grow quickly in size, have more eruptions, which further may give big problems or make delivery harder and in extremely low cases can lead to cesarean section delivery.
